Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure designed to help women achieve their ideal breasts. One of the most popular ways to perform this procedure is using breast implants. Breast Implants

Breast implants allow women to customize and achieve their ideal breasts. However, not all implants are created equal. There are different types of implants that offer unique advantages and can meet the goals of different patients who want to improve the appearance of their breasts.

The primary goal of breast augmentation is to help women improve breast aesthetics but to do so in such a way that the results look completely natural. How Do I Choose the Right Breast Implants?

There are many factors to take into account when determining the right implants. Your frame, desired look, feel, and overall appearance of your new breasts will all be important in determining the right implant for you. First, you need to determine the type of filler you want in your implant. At your consultation, we will give you more information about the benefits of saline and silicone gel implants.

We will also ask you whether you want a natural feel. It’s also important that you determine your desired shape, and you will have the option to do so by choosing between a round or teardrop shape. We will discuss implant placement with you and give you more details about how your preferred implant will look after the procedure is over.

How Long Do Implants Last?

It has been recommended that patients undergo implant revision surgery every ten years to promote and maintain the best results. However, innovations in the development of breast implants can extend the life of your breast augmentation results. At your consultation, we can give you more details about each of these implants, what you can expect after your procedure, and how long you can enjoy your post-operative results.

Am I a Good Candidate for Breast Augmentation With Implants?

If you are unhappy with the current appearance, size, shape, or proportions of your natural breasts and want to feel more confident in your appearance, you may be a good candidate for breast augmentation with breast implants. While consultations are always important before various treatments and procedures, they are especially important prior to breast surgery.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to breast augmentation, which is why your consultation is critical to determining your procedure eligibility and designing your surgical treatment plan with the exact implant to help you achieve your ideal breasts.

Your Consultation

During your consultation, we will review your medical history, evaluate your natural breasts, and learn more about your goals. You will be able to see the different implants in person, hold them, and learn more about the advantages of each.

Then, with the help of the surgeon, you can determine which one is right for you. After your consultation, we can move forward and schedule your procedure, give you more information about how to prepare, and answer any questions you have about the implants or the surgery.

The Pre-Operative Requirements

The best candidates for this procedure should be in good health and not currently pregnant or breastfeeding. Candidates must not be smokers and or regularly consume excess alcohol. Patients who choose saline implants must be at least 18 years of age, while patients who choose silicone implants must be 22 years of age.

It’s also important that the breasts are fully developed before the procedure and that patients commit to the recovery process and prioritize rest after the procedure is over to ensure the best results.
